Plans for the week

Sample 3rd ESO emails about plans for the future

Hi Joe,

I've thought about the plans and I already know what we can do.

On Monday if you want, we will meet my friends at the park to play football. On Tuesday, we're going to visit my grandparents at the countryside and we're going to stay overnight. On Wednesday, we are going to the Science Museum with my mum and Jenny.

On Thursday, we're going to have a BBQ in the garden with burgers and sausages. On Friday we're going to see a photo exhibition at the library and then we're going to go cycling, if it's sunny. On Saturday, we are going to have a party for you and finally, on Sunday, we're going to catch a train to the airport with my dad and sister.

Hi Joe!

Our week together is going to be fantastic!! On Monday, if you want, we will meet my friends, and we'll go to the park and play football.

Introducing Graphene 3rd ESO

We are currently studying how to speak about the future in English. For this purpose,  today, we are going to learn about graphene, the material of the future.

PUPPETS IN ENGLISH

British and American English

3rd ESO students have just seen some differences in vocabulary between the two most common varieties of English:  British and American.

My students always ask me what variety of English they learn. In this school, as in most schools in Galicia and Spain, the most studied variety is British English. However, thanks to TV, new technologies and social networks, teenagers have got very acquainted with American English. Thus, they usually speak of high school, movies, cookies, or soccer. 

What I'm posting today is a short list of some different words that British and North-American use to refer to the same things.
